We will never return to the crab shack on the board walk in Shreveport Louisiana.
We haven't been impressed with this location in the past. It is the closest one to us (an hour away). It's probably been every bit of 5 years since we've been back. I will say, the food was great this time, and so was our waitress and the other employees we encountered. Everyone was so nice and on top of their game. We actually enjoyed it this time!
The service was non existent. And the food was awful. Sadly the crab cakes were more like chicken salad with a lot of grease, slapped on the plate. The broccoli was obviously Reheated and old. The stuffed shrimp, wasn't stuffed at all. It was dried out and wrapped in burnt hard bacon. The popcorn shrimp for the kids was flavorless but the fries were OK. The waitress didn't even care to notice our dislike for the food and asked if we were ready for our ticket. Awful first experience for the kids at the boardwalk, first experience at Joe's.
Nice atmosphere but I went for good food. Ordered the catfish w/red beans and rice. Red beans and rice were spiced just right and very good. The catfish was another story, batter was horrible and overcooked. My wife ordered shrimp and the batter was the same. Nice establishment, just one I won't be visiting for seafood again.
Waitress was named Sarah, she was on point. We had, the all you can eat shrimp. She kept them coming and we never waited more than a few minutes. Food was good, for a mainstream seafood place.
Great time. Me and my wife went for our anniversary and actually planned to go to the Cheesecake Bistro were we sat at our table for 15 minutes without being seen. We decided to head to Joes Crab Shack and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was Melissa and she was on point. We had the Joes Classic for two and it was delicious will definitely be going back if I’m ever in the area!
