Stayed here Monday thru Friday for 4 weeks, from Nov - Dec. Everyone was friendly. It's close to several casinos, shopping, boardwalk, an restaurants. Its clean an quiet. I would come back.
First the good, the hotel is extremely well situated in convenient to get to. The rooms are also a good size and laid out well. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast options are reasonable for a hotel of this class. But this hotel also has some cleanliness problems. During our one-night stay it looked like the dust had not been cleaned off the hose that goes to the toilet tank since the hotel was renovated. There was mold in the caulked joints of the shower No towels were to delivered to the room so we had to go get some. I saw a small roach crawling on the granite counter above the mini fridge and microwave.
I stayed 3 nights on Thanksgiving weekend. Although the hotel looks new on the outside, it looks about 10 years old on the inside. The shower backing around the tub looked very old and beat up like they tried to save it from an old hotel. The caulking job was terrible and there was mold and mildew under the caulking. All of the finish work with the tile, painting and detail stuff is very sloppy, I know it seems minor and petty but it lets you know there's no pride taken in the work done on or in that hotel. After the first night they never brought a bath mat back for the shower, the did not replace the wash cloths and I'm pretty sure they kept rolling up my same used towel and putting it back on the shelf. In an attempt of making the bed, they threw the covers back up but didn't actually make it or even touch the pillows. Any 5 year old could have done a better job. There's also a lovely smell of sewer gas that would fill the room in the mornings. My impression from the over all care of this hotel is lazy and apathetic. They even double charged me and the manager insisted it was my bank not them. It might look nice in the photos but avoid this place.
Front desk at night is rude. Careless attitude when ask questions concerning hotel. First rooms toilet was not working properly. My friends room door was not locking properly. Called down to front desk and requested something and they had an attitude.
The location was easily accessible from I-20 & close to the casinos, retail, & restaurants. Our room was nice but the walls & switch plates appeared to have not been cleaned recently. We did not receive maid service after our first evening. They knocked on our door before we left the room for the day but did not come back. The front desk staff was friendly & helpful.
