Very functional and family friendly hotel. Ms Rosalind and Claudia are great...but all the staff ...I conversed with all of them... Kudos
I booked several rooms for my sons college graduation weekend. We made several changes to the rooming list and needed lots of attention that weekend. And I must say the staff was AMAZING. It started with Kristen the Sales Manager, having the patience and grace to fulfill my every request prior to arrival. She also had an after college suggestion box made for the graduation party. Thanks a million Kristen. And Claudia the front desk clerk, provided customer service with a smile. Even on my 20th visit to the front desk with a different request. Thanks to the entire staff for making our stay amazing.
Nice hotel. As good as you expect a Marriott to be. Seems popular. Very relaxing dining area - clean bright and comfortable. Quiet air conditioning in rooms and nicely finished.
This was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. It might not be the nicest hotel, but their service makes up for that by a lot. We were in town for my grandfather's funeral. My mom had got there earlier in the week. Once hearing why she was in town, they gave her a giant gift basket with a note giving their condolences signed by the whole staff. The cleaning lady even gave my mom a little gift basket. Even when my mom didn't want to be disturbed, she would leave extra towels by the door. My mom also was wondering if they had the local newspaper to see if she could see my grandfather's obituary. They didn't, but they sent one of their staff to go drive to get one. This hotel experience didn't only show the kindness of the staff, but also the beauty of humanity when tragedy strikes. It was beautiful to see in a year of such division.
The hotel is very function and peaceful to rest.
First, there's only one street going in or out with several hotels on it and no light at the intersection -- be prepared to wait. Second, don't expect a lot although you will pay more here than at some of the properties around it. There were areas that were not well maintained and other areas items were dirty/scary! I did not reserve an accessible room but was upgraded and I guess by all the rails and stuff in the tub that the room was accessible. Areas around that seat do not look like they have ever been cleaned and when it's not in use there are some sharp looking corners so be careful when you're naked in the tub. And speaking of *IN* the tub, take a look (see picture) at the two long hairs that were in the tub when I went to step in. Did I mention the mold/mildew in the tub? If they would use a disinfectant that would not happen -- it's real easy to keep clean! The light fixture above the kitchen sink has no cover on it (see picture) so be very careful or you are mixing broken glass and electricity into that wet sink. There is an area (see picture) in the bedroom that was designed to have a desk judging by the electrical and computer connections -- but there was *NO* furniture there. When I travel I have to get on my laptop. There was no desk at all in this room. Anywhere. The lamp on the wall in a bedroom (see picture) had no cover over the bulb -- housekeeping needs to report these things, and as a back-up housekeeping and engineering supervisors as well as hotel managers need to do a walk-through on all rooms on a regular basis.
