It was an okay experience. I didn't win any money and didn't expect to. Everything was somewhat different. No free drinks. Just self serve sodas and coffee. Bar drinks and food were good and so was the live entertainment.
The staff here is extremely rude especially in the valet service. The hotel only had one bellman for the entire hotel.
Diamond Jacks very much needs to be renovated from the casino floor to the hotel. The carpet in the casino is filthy. Most of the machines are in need of repair to fix card readers that don't work and constantly jamming machines. Many times the slot attendants have to repetedly slam the slot machine doors to get the machine to work. It takes forever to get a slot tech. The hotel rooms are adequate to simply get some rest. The linens are thin and worn out. The heating and air units don't usually work properly. The Jacuzzis sound like freight trains. It seems as if Diamond Jacks is struggling to stay afloat (no pun intended).
I am not really impressed. The interior is old and can use revamping. The rooms are spacious but lack a microwave or a refrigerator. The TV is outdated to say the least. It's definitely analog. Also we requested for a fridge, lady at the front desk said they were sending one up. 2 hours passed and still no sign of fridge. We called back and the lady said they ran out. Well it would have been nice to know that. Also the heater is nonexistent! We won't be back.
The beds were comfortable, and the staff was really nice. My only complaint is how outdated it is. It's like stepping off the elevator into the 90s, which some may appreciate, but I personally don't. I really recommend taking the time to renovate the place. But overall it was okay, not the worst.
The jacuzzi tub still has the Isle of Capri stickers. In true honesty this place is more like a Motel 6 instead of a resort type hotel like it's competition.
This place is very old from the carpet to the curtains in the room . Still have Philips tube televisions also the slot machines are just as old.
