The paperwork process is always awful, but this is not bad. I've lived in three other cities and this is the fastest DMV I've encountered. The front desk person who gives you a number is pleasant as are the people who do the paperwork. It's a popular spot, so come prepared to wait an hour. The facility is clean, and while older, is taken care of. I like how they split the numbers up with letters so that you have a hard time counting the number of people in front of you. It makes it less stressful in a situation you can't control. It's on a service road, but you'll need to get of the interstate a half mile ahead.
I moved from Houston. I was delighted with the service. Lady in Information Desk greeted and gave all information I needed. It was 20 minutes waiting time to transfer my plate and license. No paper works. DMV did her self for me and promptly. The original license is printed before I left. You do not need to wait carry the temporary license.
They are so ass backwards it’s a wonder people get seen at all. You’re going to spend at least 2 hours in there
Let current generation come teach you how to accomplish this within 1 hour via current technology processes like other states use. Give appointments after phase 1 and 2 Are completed via our own computer and virtual Live Meetings. (Since staffers are limited)
Took less than 15 min total to get my DL renewed and replaced including printing and a new photo. I clearly came at a good time and others were waiting for other things but my experience today was remarkable.
