Very friendly staff and very helpful
They take on some of the most miserable tasks imaginable with little to no appreciation... and for what?? I promise you that it's not the compensation and benefits. It's nothing more than the love they have for the animals. Every decision they make is with the soul intention of improving a horrible, unsolvable situation.

I think that sometimes you all forget that you work for the taxpayers. Outside of that you rely on donations. So maybe, just maybe it would be in your best interest to not treat the humans that come through your doors like dirt. Here's looking at you employees BRANDY & BRITTANY. People do not always surrender animals because they want to. Sometimes those of us who find a litter of kittens can not keep and care for all of them. Financial burdens may force us to re-home our beloved pet. So before you go spewing your opinions and shaming people just remember, it's not YOUR responsibility, it the taxpayers. So if you can not handle the reality of your job which is indeed "re-homing" animals then time to find another government position to mooch off of.

Several times every winter I take warm blankets, new that I bought on sale, food, and some toys. The employees do not acknowledge me, and when I tell them I have so donations, they look at me as if I just tracked crap on the floor. Then point to where I should put them. Once I asked to see the animals expecting someone to show me around, instead they pointed at a door and kept talking amongst themselves. I always leave wondering if the animals receive their gifts. The reason why I checked the site today is because my friend who is a recent widow lost her dog yesterday. Sadly I won't be taking her to this shelter which is the closest to us. Someone needs to fire EVERY employee. The animals and the public deserve so much better!!!!
These ladies do the best they can. If anyone could do it better... where the Hell are they?
This is one of the cleanest facilities I've ever seen. More importantly, the staff are a loving, caring group of people who truly love the homeless pets in their care. They also have a dedicated group of volunteers who love being there and who work with individual animals to help them to become more adoptable. Yes, sometimes staff are short with people who come in bringing their pets that they haven't taken the best care of and, since that's a daily occurrence, they tend to get snappy. You would too if you had to see what these people have to see day in and day out.
They have extremely limited resources and deal with some the worst people America has to offer..... every. single. day.
These ladies have made amazing progress in Bossier Parish and deserve the entire community's gratitude.
